Happy Father's Day for all fathers in the world!
Actually, I only knew that Father's day exists when I was in Singapore. Back in my country, there's no such thing as celebrating Father's day. Only Mother's day is celebrated but it's not at the same time as international date. In Indonesia, Mother's day is celebrated on 22 Dec and no Father's day (I was thinking it's not fair for fathers, right?). It's good to know that apparently fathers are also much appreciated as mothers are internationally.
Since it's near the Father's day, it reminds me to share a career lesson I learnt from my dad. Short background about my dad, he was an accountant and worked for about 15 years for the same company before changing line to entrepreneur together with my mum. (Remembering that he got so small amount of salary every month, makes me feel grateful for what I have today.) Before my sister and me left for Singapore, the one thing that I always remember was "Don't work too much, tasks in office will never end. Knock off when it's the time". This is something that I try to implement now in my working days. I will try to be as productive as possible during the working hour. But leave on time (or not so late) so I can get to rest my brain and my body.
And yes, I do concern about health more than before. I try to avoid junk food as much as possible, force myself to get more sleep, eat healthier and not to ignore my sickness or pain. I hope I can impove this more everyday.
That's my random post today. Again, Happy Father's Day!
PS: I just got call from my mum. She said my dad was surprised that he got iPad mini from me and very very happy about it. He won't get bored easily now at home ^_^.
